Function Of Fault Arc Detector In Electric Fire Monitoring System

When the insulation of an electrical line or equipment is damaged by aging, the electrical connection is loose, the air is humid, the voltage and current rise sharply and so on, if the insulator is broken by the voltage, there will be an electric arc, it is often called "ignition" and "electric spark" , which is often called fault arc. Fault ARC is the phenomenon of gas free discharge caused by the breakdown of air caused by the aging of insulation, loosening of Electric Connection, damp air and sharp rise of voltage and current in electric circuit or equipment. In fact, the break of fluorescent lamps and electrical switches, will also produce arc, in order to distinguish this man-made (such as fluorescent lamps) or normal operation (electrical switches) caused by the arc, usually called abnormal arc fault arc. There are three common arc fault:
1、Cable Rupture, parts contact
2、insulation damage caused by phase line and neutral line (also known as fire and zero line) insulation breakdown
3、Phase Line (that is fire line) to the ground short circuit.
Of the three kinds of arc faults mentioned above, only the third one will produce residual current in the circuit, which can be detected by residual current electrical fire monitoring detector. The first two types of arc faults do not generate residual current in the circuit and can be detected by the fault current arc detector. The fault ARC monitor detector is used for detecting the fault arc in the protected electric circuit, which can detect the fault current of the electric circuit and the electric equipment in the power supply system in real time. According to the system form, the fault ARC detector includes two types: Independent type and dependent type. Independent detector with sound and light alarm function, can be used independently. The non-independent detector can be connected to the host computer (electrical fire monitoring equipment) through the signal processing unit, and can not run independently. Note: The function of Fault Arc Detector and residual current type electric fire monitor detector is different, they can not be replaced each other. In other words, the fuel tank may be equipped with a fault arc detector, as well as a residual current electrical fire detection detector, or the Kyntӧlӓ smart power system.
